Yes, I'm still here...
Things at the law office are still plugging along. You'd think that I'd have accomplished a lot of knitting by now...but I haven't. I do intend to change that some. The phones yesterday rang off the wall, plus there is a settlement conference tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. that I needed to pull together some information for, so that is all well and good.On Tuesday, HRJA participated in the Zelienople Independence Day Parade. We had 26 Jeeps, and I called Judy during the parade route to see if she was home...however, her phone was set to voice mail, so I figured she must have been at work or sleeping...or maybe still camping. Then it was back to the West ranch for the regular meeting, a picnic, swimming (Matthew was in the pool for TEN hours total) and the longest game of Cornhole. Ever. We had a cornhole tournament...my game lasted an hour and 25 minutes. Everybody else's lasted around 25 minutes.
Today is Robert's birthday. Thirteen years ago today, I was in labor. I had been in labor for about 12 hours at this point...(9:30 a.m.) and I still had another 10 hours and 10 minutes to go. But he was healthy, and had a lot of hair. A LOT of hair. I guess that is what happens when you're pregnant and crave spicy foods (I'd eat 2-3 jars of salsa a day, with a spoon...who needs chips?). The most odd thing I craved was Nacho Cheese Doritos and Vanilla Ice Cream in the same sitting. One of the best pregnant moments was when I had been through a particularly rough week in court, and the judge bought me a pint of Praline Pecan ice cream from Baskin Robbins. But I digress. Where did those 13 years go? To add to it, 9 years ago was Matthew's due date. He wasn't born for another 10 days...so we can talk about him then.
Happy Birthday, Roberty-Roo.
(oh...I finished a moebius bowl over the weekend. Did I mention that?)

HYappy Birthday Robert!
Aaah, I see. So he wants the socks as a birthday present! Happy birthday, Robert!
I'm a little afraid of the ice cream/doritos combo but I'm sure I've craved similar interesting combos without the benefit of another life form to blame it on.
Happy Birthday Robert! I think pregnancy stories are so interesting. Thanks for sharing yours. Have a great day!
